Because Guardians For Felines depends on foster parents to welcome cats and kittens in their home temporarily, we are always looking for great people to open their home to a cat or kitten in need before finding their forever home. All foster cats under GFF will supply the foster parent with food, supplies and medical care. Talk to us today if you would like more information on our foster program.
It seems like it is always kitten season. With that said, we need volunteers to help us trap, neuter and return feral cats to prevent more and more kittens. Training will be provided. If you have some spare time, a car and want to prevent more homeless kittens, contact us today.
Did you know?
• Female cats can become pregnant at five months.
• An average cat has 1-8 kittens per litter and 2-3 litters per year.
• During her reproductive life a female cat can have more than 100 kittens.
There is always a place for those who cannot foster or TNR but still want to help. We are looking for someone to help plan, facilitate and organize special events and fundraisers.
Every little bit helps! Do you love cats and woodworking? Put your skills to a good cause by building feral cat shelters for feral cat colonies. Shelters are invaluable to feral cats to take shelter in the unpredictable Nebraska weather, getting away from predators and even just for sleeping out of the elements. Colony caretakers have said they wish they had shelters for the cats they care for. So here is where we come in! We want to help the community cats by providing shelter to property owners who care for colonies. We want to increase their quality of life as mush as possible.
As we expand and grow, we will come up with new opportunities as we see a need for. If you have an idea on other ways to help, we want to hear from you!
